In January this year following constant monitoring of the situation in China, we established an internal COVID19 Business Impact Team who have been working to ensure the continuity of all critical functions and activities within Nationwide Windows Limited.
From our supply chain through to the workforce, operations and data, all areas of the business have been taken into consideration and we continue to monitor events daily to ensure that where possible we take a pro-active approach in preparing for any potential impact.
As of today, our overall objective remains “business as usual” where possible, an approach which is underpinned with the following objectives in mind:
We have taken steps to ensure the welfare of our staff, and limit the possibility of transference by instructing those with any of the reported symptoms to stay at home and self-isolate. Furthermore, all non-essential travel has been postponed, and our personnel are encouraged to utilise video conferencing/remote working where possible.
We remain in constant and ongoing dialogue with our robust supply chain partners and have obtained assurances from them that current levels of stockholding will not impact operations whilst the current travel restrictions are in place. However, given the nature of COVID-19 and the possibility of further mitigating steps being imposed, we have to recognise that this may be subject to change.
We continue to reinforce current advice/guidance with our staff in regards to personal hygiene and in particular hand washing. We have also introduced a pre-visit questionnaire and site attendance questionnaire, both of which we are utilising to help recognise vulnerable people and those which may be showing early symptoms of COVID-19.
Whilst we believe that all possible scenarios have been considered within our Business Impact Plan, we still remain unsure as to what the outcome will be locally, nationally or internationally, and therefore recognise that at this stage it is impossible to prepare for every eventuality, but remain committed to the daily monitoring of events and adjusting our strategy accordingly.
Despite our intended vigilance in all areas of our business, we still require the assistance and patience of all stakeholders during this time. But please be assured that we aim to continue delivering the service you have come to expect from Nationwide Windows Ltd.
